Outstanding recalls to fail Mot?
Posted: January 14th 2019
Regulation changes are being proposed as a method to more effectively deal with the number of cars on the roads that have outstanding recalls against them.
The Driver and Vehicle safety Agency (DVSA) and the Department for Transport are looking to make an alteration to the MOT rules to accommodate the change.
It is hoped that the rule change could see more motorists, with recalls against them, get the problem dealt with much more promptly. Recalls issued by car manufacturers are issued usually relating to a fault or problem with the car.
These faults can be both minor or major and can range from issues with the seatbelt not working to potential problems with the brakes or engine.
